Individual Student Reports (ISR) for Spring 2024 MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) and EOC (End Of Course) exams have been received by the district. The Individual Student Reports will be distributed to students and sent home prior to August 30, 2024.

For each assessment, the ISR provides a scale score and a performance level, including a brief description of the level. The scale score is a representation of student responses, converted onto a consistent and standardized scale. Based on the scale score, the student is assigned a performance level. Student achievement is broken down into four performance levels:

Advanced: The student demonstrates advanced proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a thorough command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.

• Proficient: The student demonstrates proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and an adept command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.

 • Basic: The student demonstrates partial proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a partial or uneven command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.

 • Below Basic: The student does not yet demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge and skills necessary at this grade level/course, and a minimal command of the skills and processes as specified in content expectations.

The ISR also includes scale scores for the individual reporting categories of the assessment. Reporting categories are an overarching subset of items measuring a specific type of content. Depending on the grade level/course, categories include:

• English Language Arts – Reading, Research, Writing, Listening

• Mathematics (Grades 3-5) – Number Sense and Operations in Base Ten, Number Sense and Operations in Fractions, Relationships and Algebraic Thinking, Geometry and Measurement & Data and Statistics

• Mathematics (Grades 6-7) – Ratios and Proportional Relationships, Number Sense and Operations, Expressions, Equations and Inequalities, Geometry and Measurement & Data Analysis, Statistic and Probability

• Mathematics (Grade 8) – Number Sense and Operations & Expressions, Equations and Inequalities, Geometry and Measurement & Data Analysis, Statistics and Probability, Functions • Science – Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Sciences

Additionally, ISRs for English Language Arts include a Lexile Measure, which is an estimate of the reading ability of the student. Mathematics includes a Quantile Measure, an estimate of student readiness for mathematics instruction.
