Chamber to Host Candidate Forum March 29, 2010

The Odessa Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidate Forum on March 29, 2010. The forum will take place at the Community Building at 601 W. Main Street, Dyer Park in Odessa. The forum will begin at 7:00pm, candidates are asked to arrive no later than 6:45pm.

Every candidate seeking election to the Odessa R-VII School Board and the City of Odessa Board of Aldermen, as well as the City of Odessa Mayoral candidates have been invited to attend the forum. Community members are encouraged to attend the forum to learn about each candidate to prepare for the upcoming election.

All candidates were given a sampling of questions in advance. A random selection of these questions will be posed to each candidate at the forum. Audience members will be allowed to submit questions as they enter the building at the forum. The format for the evening is as follows: Odessa R-VII School Board candidate questions, brief intermission, City of Odessa Mayoral and Board of Aldermen candidate questions, ending with audience questions presented by the moderator as time allows.
